Bologna will pay an initial fee of €9 million for the player – with a further €500,000 in performance-related bonuses potentially payable.
The deal also includes a clause that guarantees AS Roma 25% of any profit over €1m, should the player be sold by Bologna in future.
Skorupski, 27, joined the Giallorossi ahead of the 2013-14 campaign – spending the next two seasons with the club before going on to spend two years on loan at Empoli.
Last season Skorupski returned to the Stadio Olimpico, making two appearances in all competitions.
In total the Poland international played 16 games for the club – the last of those coming against Sassuolo on 20 May 2018.
