Since its inception in 2017, AS Roma eSports has become a major player in the world of competitive gaming – with a host of successes in its short existence to date.
Roma eSports players have competed in tournaments all over the world, and against clubs including Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Ajax, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
In April 2018, the team became Gfinity Elite Series Season 3 champions, as they defeated UNILAD on their way to the title. In December 2018, they became the only team in Elite Series history to defend their title, becoming back-to-back champions in Season 4 of the Gfinity competition.
The team initially partnered with Fnatic, one of the leading organisations in esports, and two of its players went on to reach the semi-finals of the prestigious FIFA eClub World Cup in 2019.
In November 2020, the Giallorossi announced the launch of an official PES team - in collaboration with Italian esports organisation Mkers. The pro PES trio made up of Roksa, Kepa and Venom reached the semi-final stage of the eFootball.Pro competition in the team's first season in the event.
The Giallorossi chose a new face and voice for the 2021 season, as Italian YouTube sensation Davide 'Sodin' Sodano joined as the Official Main Caster. Adrian-Constantin Urma, rated as the top-ranked eFootball player in Romania, joined soon after as the first official player on the 2021 Roma eSports roster.
Fast forward to 2023, and the squad consists of Salvatore Gagliardo, Andrea “Stiffler” Galimberti, and Adrian-Constantin Urma. The trio are competing in the eFootballChampionPro tournamnet, battling against the best teams in the eSports world.
