Spurs 0-1 Roma: Ibanez header clinches I-Tech Cup

Roger Ibanez's header - from a Paulo Dybala corner - was the difference as Roma beat Tottenham Hotspur to win the I-Tech Cup on Saturday evening.

In front of a packed crowd at the Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa, Israel, Ibanez made the difference as he rose highest to power home Dybala's inviting first-half cross.

Both sides created opportunities throughout the game although in truth a second goal never exactly looked on the cards - with Nicolo Zaniolo and Lorenzo Pellegrini among those to go close for the Giallorossi.

Dybala, making his first start of pre-season, almost found himself on the scoresheet inside the first minute; only to be denied twice by some scrambling Spurs defending.

In the second half the Premier League side pushed on in search of an equaliser, only to be met by a determined Roma backline.

Jose Mourinho's side have just one more pre-season test before their 2022-23 campaign gets underway: they host Shakhtar Donetsk at the Stadio Olimpico next Sunday.
