Ohale, 28, joins the Giallorosse ahead of the upcoming 2020-21 season – having spent last season at Tacon (now known as Real Madrid Women).
She becomes the club’s third addition of the summer, following Spanish forward Paloma Lazaro and Italian goalkeeper Rachele Baldi.
“I chose Roma because of so many things; so many amazing things about the club, about this city and this country that interested me,” Ohale said.
“I felt like it would be a great thing for me, to explore and to experience new things and a new challenge.”
A tough, versatile defender, Ohale comes to the Italian capital with vast experience – having represented Nigeria at three World Cups in her career so far, and having won the Africa Cup of Nations with her country on no fewer than four occasions.
At club level she has played in the United States for the Houston Dash, before coming to Europe and representing both Vittsjo and Vaxjo in Sweden’s top division.
She also played in her homeland, representing Rivers Angels in the Nigerian Women's Premier League across two spells, either side of a double-title winning stint with Delta Queens.
