Kuipers will be joined by assistants Sander van Roekel and Erwin Zeinstra, with Charles Schaap the fourth official.
Pol van Boekel and Richard Liesveld will be the additional assistants.
Kuipers has already refereed the Giallorossi three times in the Champions League.
The first match was Roma’s 3-2 win away at Basel on 3 November 2010 in the group stage of the 2010-11 competition, with Jeremy Menez, Francesco Totti and Leandro Greco getting the goals.
Kuipers’ second game in charge of Roma was the 1-1 draw away at Manchester City on 30 September 2014, also in the group stages. Francesco Totti’s goal that night meant he became the oldest player ever to score in the Champions League.
Most recently, the Dutchman was the referee when Alessandro Florenzi lobbed Marc-Andre ter Stegen from over 50 yards out in Roma’s 1-1 home draw with Barcelona on 16 September 2015.
