Soule and Svilar speak after derby draw

Matias Soule and Mile Svilar were interviewed pitchside by DAZN after the 1-1 draw between Lazio and Roma in Serie A Matchday 32.

This is what they had to say...

Mile Svilar

How do you feel about this draw?

“If we look at the match, it's a fair result. It's better to draw than lose, although at the end of the day a point doesn't do much for us. That said, the result is about right.”

Which was the most difficult save you had to make today?

“The one in the first half on [Alessio] Romagnoli because I couldn't see it coming. I'd have preferred not to win the man-of-the-match award and have three points instead.”

Are you sorry you weren't able to give Claudio Ranieri a win in his last derby as coach?

“We're very sorry. It doesn't do much for our league position but we'll take the point and play the last six as if they were finals.”

Matias Soulé

What a goal you scored today!

“I'm pleased with the goal but we needed to win. Of course it's better to draw it than lose it, but we need to work harder to earn more points.”

You scored the sort of goal we've seen from Paulo Dybala before - and you ran over to hug him afterwards.

“With him and all the others there's a great team spirit. We spend all our time together. It's a shame about the result because we wanted to win – we always do – but we're staying positive.”

That's now 16 games unbeaten. What do opponents need to do to beat you?

“As I said before, we still have a lot of work to do. We've improved and we've had some good results but we can score more. It's important to win these games.”
