Following the assault in Sicily on a young referee, Diego Alfonzetti – who will be attending the derby on Sunday – AS Roma decided to give a guard of honour to the referees who officiated the home matches of our youth teams on Saturday.
It was a surprise for all the match officials, who were visibly moved. Both our male youth teams and our under 15 girls’ team took part in the initiative.This is how the club has chosen to reiterate its rejection of violence in all settings. On and off the pitch.
