AS Roma are pleased to announce that Bruno Conti has renewed his contract with the club, which will see him co-ordinate all activities of the club’s academy system from Under-10 to Under-14 level.
Conti, a World Cup winner in 1982 and member of the club’s Hall of Fame, represented the Giallorossi in three spells from 1973 to 1991, making 402 appearances and scoring 47 goals.
He won the Scudetto with the club in 1983, and the Coppa Italia on four separate occasions.
"I would like to thank Vincenzo Vergine and the club in general for the faith they have shown in me and my responsibilities," Conti said.
"For me it is an enormous pleasure to be able to continue to contribute to the development of the youth sector, starting with the work we do with the talent we have in local areas - something I have always done with passion and enthusiasm."
“We are delighted to continue to count on Bruno’s ability to identify, evaluate and develop the talent that is on offer throughout our region,” said Vincenzo Vergine, the club’s Head of Youth Development.
“For a club that sees that local identity as an added value and wants to be constantly alert to what is going on around the capital, the contribution that Bruno will continue to make is something I believe is essential.”
