Striker Haug completes Giallorosse move!

Haug, 22, has signed a deal with the Giallorosse that runs until 30 June 2024.

She will join up with Alessandro Spugna's squad ahead of the second half of the 2021-22 campaign, strengthening the attacking options available to the boss as the side continues to compete in both the league and cup.

“I am very happy to be a part of AS Roma,” Haug said.

“It is a big club with a lot of tradition in international football. I have gotten a very warm welcome and I am looking forward to get started with the team. Daje Roma!”

Haug joins the club from Norwegian side LSK Kvinner, where she was a member of five league-winning sides and helped the club win the Norwegian cup on four occasions.

She has also represented Norway from Under-15 to Under-23 level.

“We have been following Sophie for some time now – she is one of the most talented young Norwegian players coming through,” said Betty Bavagnoli, the club’s Head of Women’s Football.

“She is an incredibly exciting prospect; a centre-forward that has already scored a lot of goals despite her young age.

“We are delighted to be able to welcome her to Roma and we are certain that she will bring a lot to the team.”
