It was a difficult game for you but you found a winner in the end.

“Yes, it was very difficult. We had lots of chances in the first half. It was important to get the three points and keep moving forward.”

You're in excellent form at the moment and you keep scoring decisive goals.

“Yes, the lads are supporting me and I'm trying to do my job, which is to score goals and help the team. It was very important to do that today.”

Does winning games like this prove the worth of this team?

“We've struggled at this ground in recent years. We played well today, although we missed some easy chances.”

Do you think Roma can challenge for the positions occupied by your rivals above you?

“I think so. You don't put together a winning streak like this without certain qualities. It was important to reach this stage with a chance of qualifying for Europe and we've managed to do that.”

If someone had told you in November that you'd be challenging for a Champions League spot?

“I don't know if I'd have believed them. We've done a good job of getting ourselves back in it with a  run of wins that we hadn't managed in years.”
