The first wave of special derby t-shirts have been sent out to supporters!

A total of 46,036 fans bought virtual tickets for Saturday's Derby della Capitale victory over Lazio - making it the biggest such fan-backed initiative in any of Europe's top-five leagues this season.

As part of the purchase, which will see all proceeds go towards supporting Roma Cares' educational initiatives, fans all received a special derby t-shirt: which was first placed on their relevant seats in the Curva Sud, and will now be sent out to their homes.

The first wave of t-shirts have now been sent out, with all the t-shirts expected to be posted within the next 30 days.

On the special t-shirts, which players wore as part of their post-game celebrations, is written the message 'Mai Sola' - 'Never Alone' in English.

The message underlines the incredible support of the Roma fans, who have always made their passion felt despite the restrictions imposed by the current Covid-19 pandemic.

Roma won Saturday's game 2-0, thanks to goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pedro.
