On Tuesday Kolarov, 34, put pen-to-paper on a renewal with the club that now runs until 30 June 2021.
The Serbia international has been almost an ever-present for the club since his arrival from Manchester City in the summer of 2017, going on to make 113 appearances for the club in all competitions – scoring 17 goals.
“I want to thank the club for this contract extension, it means a great deal to me,” Kolarov said.
“Even now I see it as another starting point: I intend to keep on improving and developing in order to contribute to the growth of this club.”
The agreement will see Kolarov, who has represented his country at multiple World Cups and won the Premier League on two occasions, continue his adventure in the Italian capital.
“We are delighted to be able to announce this renewal,” club chief executive Guido Fienga said.
“Aleksandar has always been the consummate professional, both on and off the pitch. With this renewal, we can continue to count on that contribution.”
