Piemonte, 21, was announced as the latest player to join Common Goal - which counts the likes of Italy's Giorgio Chiellini and Spain's Juan Mata among its patrons - on Sunday afternoon.
Every footballer, coach or supporter who joins Common Goal agrees to donate 1% of their income towards the charity's causes, which include tackling some of the biggest social issues around the globe.
"Footballers live a privileged life, which is why we must set an example - because there are many people in the world that need help," Piemonte said.
"I'm very happy to be a part of Common Goal and help those that are in need."

Common Goal hopes that, by harnessing the power of football and uniting it in the pursuit of specific targets, real progress can be made.
"This is about all of us footballers giving back as a team," Chiellini said, when he joined the charity.
"Individually, our pledges might not change the world but together we can make a real difference."
