Juan remembers Roma spell in emotional Instagram post

Former Giallorossi defender Juan has paid tribute to 'the most beautiful Curva in Italy' in a touching Instagram post about his time with the club.

The Brazilian, who joined the club ahead of the 2007-08 season and eventually left in 2012, won both the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa as a member of the Roma squad.

The Serie A title always eluded his teams, however, despite strong challenges in both his first season and the 2009-10 campaign.

In his post, Juan spoke of the "strong emotions" and "unforgettable matches" he experienced with a club that will always remain in his heart.

Five years together. A small but incredibly intense portion of my life. Five years of strong emotions, special people and unforgettable matches, all set against the backdrop of your love and support.

Five years spent striving to give you what two other Brazilians, Falcao and Aldair, had already managed to achieve.

And even though we were unable to celebrate the Scudetto you deserved more than anyone else, I’ll still never forget you.

Because there’ll never be a more beautiful Curva in Italy than Roma’s. I miss you, I love you.

Now 38, Juan is still playing professional football - currently turning out in his homeland for Flamengo.
