Here is what defender Roger Ibanez had to say on Wednesday, as he spoke to the media ahead of Thursday's Europa League meeting with Real Betis in Seville.
The game at the Benito Villamarin gets underway at 18:45 local time.
Have these injuries affected the mood of the squad?
“I don’t think so, no. The squad are doing okay from what I see. We are working as hard as we can to be as good as we can. Whoever comes in in place of the injured players, they will do the best they can – as always. We are ready for the next game and ready for anything.”
You were named in the Brazil squad for the first time recently, and now the World Cup is getting closer – how easy is it for players to go out there and play knowing what is around the corner?
“I am fine, I am available for the team I play for. I need to make sure I do my job here if I want to go to the World Cup. I have to make sure I do my best every time, and everything else that follows will be a result of what I do with my club. I need to be focused on Roma and then when the World Cup comes around we will see.”
What is going to be the key to getting a good result in tomorrow’s game? Can you win it?
“We need to follow the instructions from the boss and do what he asks of us out on the pitch. If we are able to do that then we can win the game.”
