Abraham headed home from Lorenzo Pellegrini's inviting cross to open the scoring in the contest, as a further strike that came via the boot of Stephan El Shaarawy ultimately ensured the Giallorossi picked up all three points.
"I'm delighted to get back on the scoresheet - I'm a striker who likes to score goals, so the last few weeks have been difficult for me," Abraham said.
"Today, fortunately, I was in the right place at the right time.
"I just needed to be patient and make sure I helped the team - if I don't score but the team wins that is always fine with me."
The victory knocks Helsinki out of European contention, and sets up a crucial match for Roma against Ludogorets next Thursday.
"We knew it was going to be a tough game," Abraham added. "Playing here is not easy.
"We didn't start the first half particularly well but as the game progressed we got better. We scored twice and we could have scored more."
