Ceasar adds to Roma Women ranks

Roma Women are delighted to confirm the signing of Romanian goalkeeper Camelia Ceasar ahead of the new season.

Ceasar, 21, is the club’s sixth signing of the summer – following in the footsteps of Kaja Erzen, Andressa Alves, Amalie Thestrup, Manuela Giugliano and Andrine Hegerberg.

“I am very pleased to start this new adventure,” Ceasar said.

“I cannot wait to get started and feel the support of the fans behind us.”

A member of the Romanian international squad, Ceasar initially began her career in Torino before going on to spend five years at Brescia – with whom she won two league titles, two Coppe Italia and four Supercoppe.

Last season she played for AC Milan – who had absorbed Brescia’s setup the previous summer - as they finished third in Serie A.

In total Ceasar has made 88 Serie A appearances in her career to date.

Roma Women finished fourth in Serie A last season, in what was the club’s first-ever campaign in professional football.

    Welcome to Rome, Camelia!
