AS Roma are delighted to announce the signing of Samantha van Diemen. The 23-year-old has penned a contract with the club until 30 June 2028.
A central defender born in 2002, Samantha began her career in the Netherlands with Ajax, where she won the Eredivise Cup in 2019-20. She went on to play for Feyenoord and Fortuna Sittard before moving to Glasgow City in 2024, where she made 29 appearances in the Scottish Women's Premier League.
Although Samantha represented the Netherlands in all age groups she switched to the Dominican Republic in 2025 through her dual citizenship. In March she scored her first goal for her country as she made her debut against Honduras.
Van Diemen has chosen the number 44 shirt jersey.
