Roma U19 players visit Testaccio kids as part of 'Let’s Play Together' initiative

An AS Roma delegation including U19 players - acting as ambassadors for the club - has visited the Testaccio neighbourhood to give free football kits to local teams.

The 'Let's Play Together' initiative, which was conceived to strengthen links with the local area and promote sport especially among disadvantaged youngsters, took place with the support of Roma Club Testaccio at the Opera Salesiana parish centre on Friday 11 October 2024.

After handing over the kits to the five children's teams from the neighbourhood, the Roma delegation – headed up by Alberto De Rossi and Simone Ricchio – spent some time demonstrating basic football skills to the kids, such as shooting and free kicks.

It was a lovely opportunity for the youngsters to meet and learn from members of the club in the church grounds, where they usually play football, coached by local volunteers.

The club's involvement in this project is part of the Equality and Inclusion policy in AS Roma sustainability strategy.
