The concept for the AS Roma away kit is in keeping with that of the 2024-25 home kit, drawing inspiration from Testaccio – the iconic birthplace of Giallorossi fans. The idea for the away jersey comes from the street art which grace certain areas of the modern urban landscape.
An amphora – an artistic icon of the Testaccio district – features as a detail behind the neck. It symbolises Monte dei Cocci, the artificial mound from Roman times formed by millions of shards of amphorae, used to transport the goods arriving from the inland port on the river Tiber.
The V-neck shirt is white with an orange spray-can effect representing the murals. The same colour is used for the three stripes running across the shoulders and sleeves.
A bright red adidas logo appears on the right of the chest with Piero Gratton’s Lupetto on the left, inside a circle formed by four curved lines reflecting the stencil technique used by street artists.
White shorts and socks complete the kit.
This unique shirt design further strengthens the club’s bond with the modern part of the Testaccio district, whose culture and contemporary identity are a source of inspiration for the new generations of fans.
The new kit will make its debut appearance during Roma’s friendly match against Olympiacos on 3 August 2024 at the Stadio Manlio Scopigno in Rieti.
The 2024-25 AS Roma away kit is available from today, 1 August, at AS Roma Stores, store.asroma.com, adidas stores, the adidas app, adidas.it, and stores and the site of JD, the club’s official retail partner JD.
