The agreement involves both the men's and women's teams, the latter being Italian champions from the 2022/23 campaign. AS Roma and IBL Banca are united by their historical and geographical proximity, as well as their shared values of excellence and leadership in their respective sectors.
More than anything else, the two entities are linked by their year of foundation, 1927, and the place where they were created, the city of Rome. They share almost a century of history, during which they have pursued wide-ranging development while maintaining always ties with their locality.
The partnership – with a multi-year agreement– will see the IBL Banca brand displayed during matches at the Stadio Olimpico.
The bank's brand - with branches throughout Italy - will also be displayed at the Fulvio Bernardini training centre in Trigoria and at the Tre Fontane stadium.
Furthermore, special activities will be held on dedicated days, aimed at both the bank's customers and all Roma fans.
"IBL Banca is synonymous with Rome, an iconic institution, in the Eternal City and throughout Italy. Our shared approach and historical identity make this such a natural collaboration," said Michael Wandell, Chief Commercial & Brand Officer at AS Roma.
"The agreement with AS Roma is in line with our focus on the world of sport, unique in its ability to bring people together and involve generations of fans. This marks a significant debut for IBL Banca, and we are really excited to be alongside a club with a long history and a strong identity, as well as a fanbase that follows the team with rare attachment. From today we are partners with an entity with which we share not only the year of foundation, but also the bond with the city of Rome and the closeness to the local area," says Simone Lancioni, Head of Marketing and Advertising at IBL Banca.
