Roma Women: Anja Sonstevold joins the Giallorosse!

Anja is an experienced full-back with a strong knowledge of the Italian league. She arrives from Inter Milan, where she began the current season and played the previous two.   

“It is a great honour to be here, and I am very happy. As soon as I received the call, I had no doubts about choosing Roma, the best team in Italy in recent seasons," said the Norwegian defender.  

“I hope to contribute to winning trophies together with my teammates.”

During her time at LSK Kvinner, she won five Norwegian titles and four Norwegian cups.

Sonstevold also represented Norway at the World Cups in Australia and New Zealand.

"We warmly welcome Anja, an experienced player we have been looking for and who already knows our league," said Betty Bavagnoli, the club’s Head of Women’s Football.

"We have no doubt that Anja will be able to contribute right away to help the team, given the busy schedule that await us.”
