Bove: "I try to do the things that people trust me to do"

Edoardo Bove's post-match thoughts after Roma's 1-1 draw with Servette in the Europa League.

Here's what the Giallorossi midfielder had to say...

It was a difficult evening. José Mourinho criticised the attitude of some players in his post-match interview.

"We know what we need to do on the pitch and work hard to meet the coach's expectations. We are the type of team that can get into trouble if we lack intensity in our attitude.

“When we're all united, however, we're a fantastic team that can always succeed. We wanted to win tonight, but we weren't able to. As I previously stated, we have a great team and will continue to build on it.”

There was complete dominance in the first leg match. Did you suffer more from their speed tonight?

"We all know that in Europe, every game is very difficult, especially when you're away from home and in a challenging environment.

“In my opinion, the single moments did not help us. Sometimes we suffered from their counter-attacks. Everything is dictated by single moments. If we had scored the winning goal, the story would have been different.”

Which player on the pitch inspires you the most?

"To name one is difficult, I believe, and I try to do my best.

“I believe I do things on my own, and I want to try to do the things that people trust me to do. That is my approach. I seek trust from teammates and the coach, and the rest follows. It is difficult to say a specific name.”
