Adidas and AS Roma present the 2023-24 third kit combining modern style and ancient allure

The kit expresses modernity and the varying influences embodying the new generation of football fans. The jersey becomes an icon that is not only suitable for high-level sports performance, but is also a vehicle for self expression for AS Roma fans the world over, taking pride in their club’s history and identity both during matches and beyond what happens in the stadium.   

The design of the third jersey is built around an elegant black color with some prominent yellow and red details.  

The late, great designer Piero Gratton’s “Lupetto” is back on the heart, this time in a black version inscribed inside a white circle with yellow and red borders; a white version of the adidas logo is displayed on the right. 

The iconic three stripes start from the “Henry Collar”, incorporating the Roman club’s three historical colors: yellow, orange and red. The sleeves also boast a guilloché pattern inspired by the ornamental elements of ancient Roman mosaics, reinterpreted with a contemporary twist. 

Another element from Gratton’s legacy is the stylized “R”, the initial of AS Roma, part of the club’s coordinated identity at the time the Lupetto was introduced. The logo is placed on the back collar to symbolize the connection between tradition and the future in this third chapter of the Giallorossi’s “Eternal Future”. 

Adidas's latest performance innovations have been included in the design to ensure athletes have the support they need for the demands of today’s game. The kit features AEROREADY technology, which uses absorbent and breathable materials to keep players dry. 

The jersey is made from 100% recycled materials, one of the solutions implemented by adidas to help end plastic waste. Earlier this year, adidas announced that it was ahead of schedule to replace virgin polyester with recycled polyester in its products wherever possible by the end of 2024.

The new kit will be worn by the men’s and women’s teams. The kit will be available starting September 26 in adidas stores, online at adidas.it, in AS Roma stores and online at store.asroma.com.
