AS Roma is delighted to announce the acquisition of Evelyne Viens on a
three-year contract until 30 June 2026.
Viens won an Olympic gold medal with Canada at Tokyo 2020 and will be the first Canadian to play for Roma.
“I am really excited to join AS Roma,” the new Giallorosse player commented. “It is a club with high expectations and I am honored to be part of such a great club. I cannot wait to step on the field wearing AS Roma colors and I want to help the team to win trophies.”
The 26-year-old forward spent last season at Swedish outfit Kristianstads DFF.
“We are absolutely thrilled that Evelyne has decided to buy into our plans at Roma. She's a player we had been watching with keen interest for a while,” commented Betty Bavagnoli, Head of Women’s Football.
“She's an Olympic champion who's used to playing on the big stage. We know all about her ability and we know what she can bring to our team.”
