For this reason, as was the case a year ago before at the UEFA Europa Conference League final in Tirana, the club is collaborating with the UEFA Foundation and Sevilla FC to carry out joint activities in Budapest, the host city of the final.
The club has been working on joint planning with a twofold objective:
- Firstly, AS Roma has been working to support the Budapest community to create a positive and lasting impact.
- Secondly, the club has been carrying out sustainability activities to enhance football as a tool for inclusion, accessibility and empowerment of the most vulnerable groups, while taking into consideration the requests received from the UEFA Foundation.
Among the activities planned by the UEFA Foundation on Wednesday 31st at the Budapest Fan Festival, the club took part in a training session with children from social organisations in Budapest, who have been given items related to the club.
In addition, a commemorative final shirt has been handed over to the UEFA Foundation, which will be auctioned off. The proceeds will be donated to the UNHCR in Budapest. On the same day, again at the Fan Festival, AS Roma also handed out gifts to Ukrainian refugee children involved in activities organised by the UEFA Foundation.
Among the various activities in support of the local community, on Tuesday, a club delegation visited a school on the outskirts of Budapest that takes in disadvantaged children, an association that supports women victims of violence, and a representation of a homeless football team that recently won a trophy.
