Roma forward Paulo Dybala came off the bench to help Argentina win the World Cup in a thrilling final on Sunday afternoon.
Dybala, 29, came on during extra-time in the game at the Lusail Stadium - going on to take and score the second Argentina penalty of the shootout as the Albiceleste eventually ran out 4-2 winners.
With his success, there have now been nine World Cups with at least one Roma player on the winning team - more than any other club in history.
Behind them are Inter Milan (8), Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Juventus (all 7).
The tournaments that included a Giallorossi winner were in 1934, 1938, 1982, 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006 and now 2022.
Dybala is now the 17th Roma player to have won a World Cup while representing the club.
Those to come before him are: Attilio Ferraris, Enrique Guaita, Guido Masetti (who won the World Cup twice, in 1934 and 1938), Eraldo Monzeglio, Aldo Donati, Pietro Serantoni, Bruno Conti, Thomas Berthold, Rudi Voeller, Aldair Nascimento Santos, Vincent Candela, Marcos Cafu, Daniele De Rossi, Simone Perrotta and Francesco Totti.
Eagle-eyed readers will have noticed above the longest streak of Roma winners at World Cups - five successive tournaments between 1990 and 2006.
Indeed, no other club can match such a streak either - with Bayern Munich, Inter Milana and Real Madrid all having had a maximum of three straight tournaments with at least one victorious player.
Congratulations, Paulo!
