Starting out as an initiative, created in conjunction with the local Protezione Civile Arvalia (PCA), to enable supporters with disabilities to get to the Stadio Olimpico and enjoy Roma home matches, the service is now expanding to assist elderly disabled people with their various medical appointments.
This service, once again run in conjunction with the PCA, will begin with a pilot programme in the IV Municipio area of the city.
The details of the programme were outlined at a special event at the San Basilio Elderly Centre on Tuesday afternoon, with first-team player Rick Karsdorp and the club's Community Relations Department Director Francesco Pastorella on hand - alongside president of the Municipio, Massimiliano Umberto.
The new service will be up and running from Thursday 13 October.
To use the service, individuals should make a booking by calling +39 351 8484045. The hotline is open Monday-Friday, 9am-7pm.
