Calcio con il Cuore ('Football From the Heart') is a club initiative that teaches junior players from around the city about the importance of learning CPR, also providing medical equipment to clubs so they are best prepared in case of a heart-related emergency.
The initiative began in 2018, with many clubs having received defibrillators in the intervening years.
Last Thursday, November 10, it was the turn of ASD Atletico Nativity to receive theres - as Shomurodov turned delivery man to surprise them.
Youngsters at the club have undergone a first-aid course in recent weeks, also learning how to correctly use a defibrillator, as part of the 'Calcio con il Cuore' initiative.
Every club enrolled in the programme has received new defibrillators: with cardiac issues becoming an increasing occurence during sporting exercise, it cannot hurt to be prepared for all eventualities.
