Report: Sevilla friendly ends goalless

Roma were held to a second successive draw of pre-season on Saturday afternoon, as their game against Sevilla ended 0-0.

Both sides had chances over the course of the game, although both goalkeepers will have expected to make the saves they were asked to make.

Coach Jose Mourinho rotated his options for the game, with only three players who started the midweek draw with Porto continuing in the initial XI at the Estadio Algarve.

One of those, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, went close to breaking the deadlock, while winger Carles Perez also forced a good save from Sevilla goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic.

In the second half, as changes arrived from both sides, the game understandably became a bit more disjointed - and doubly so after Nemanja Gudelj was sent off for the Spanish side after picking up a second yellow card.

Despite being down to 10-men however, Julien Lopetegui's side held on for a draw.

The Giallorossi are back in action next Wednesday as they face Belenenses SAD in another tune-up contest.
