The Roma Cares initiative, run in tribute to the late Willy Monteiro, is currently taking place remotely due to the ongoing pandemic - with Mirante surprising students from the Istituto Ormea for a special seminar.
Mirante answered questions from the children, while also stressing to them the importance of acceptance and integration - and the need to always stay vigilant against any forms of violence and bullying.
"A football team is a bit like a class: there are a lot of kids from different places, that believe in different things, that speak different languages," Mirante said.
"It's up to us and our teammates to help everyone feel settled and accepted.
"Even in football there have been issues with bullying, but I think we are always improving and the players have a responsibility to reflect on everything they see going on.
"If one of our teammates treats an opponent badly then we should all feel a necessity to stop them."
As part of the current initiative, Roma Cares will donate tablet computers to all those institutions involved - in order to help students continue with distance learning during the ongoing pandemic.
