Top 10: Unforgettable derby tifos

Ahead of Saturday's big game, we look back at some of the great fan 'tifos' - banners and choreographies - that have helped make the game the spectacle it is to this day.

On Saturday night Roma host Lazio in the Derby della Capitale at the Stadio Olimpico.

It has always been one of the most passionate and important derbies in football - one of the few games in the sport that fans from around the world will tune into, in order to experience the fervour of the supporters in the stands as much as the action on the pitch.

This season, however, the game has been slightly different, with Covid preventing fans from attending the contest. That means no fan tifo - the banners and choreographies that the Curva Sud has often produced ahead of games to inspire the players.

This weekend the club, thanks to supporters, is nevertheless creating a tifo of its own ( click here for more details): a homage to the great traditions that we all hope will return soon.
