Tribute to Willy Monteiro unveiled in Colleferro

On Thursday morning a mural in memory of Willy Monteiro Duarte was officially unveiled in Colleferro.

Designed by the street artist Lucamaleonte, the design pays tribute to the young Monteiro - who tragically lost his life in September 2020 after being the victim of an unprovoked attack.

The mural in his memory was created thanks to a collaboration between Roma Cares and Regione Lazio, and features on the side of a building in via Colle Bracchi.

The club has also renamed its 'Scuola di Tifo' school project in memory of Willy, as players visit students around the Italian capital to teach them about the importance of respect, kindness and fair play with others.
