Pellegrini a special guest at the Vatican

Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini was a guest of Pope Francis on Sunday, as he attended the Vatican for a special Eucharist.

To celebrate Domenica della Parola di Dio ('The Sunday of the Word of God'), Pellegrini and his family attended the mass at Casa Santa Marta - where His Excellence Mons. Rino Fisichella presented the specially invited guests with a Bible made and printed for the occasion.

Pellegrini was among eight notable individuals selected for the event - a day on from his decisive winning goal for Roma against Spezia at the Stadio Olimpico.
