133 clubs now signed up for International Missing Children’s Day project

One hundred and thirty-three clubs from 56 countries have now signed up to support a new initiative to mark International Missing Children’s Day on May 25.

In the past 48 hours, over 25 new clubs – including Watford, West Ham and Wolves from the Premier League and Gremio, Santos and Vasco da Gama from Brazil’s Serie A - have joined the project, which AS Roma is helping to coordinate for the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children.

Ten days ago, the ‘Football Cares’ initiative was announced with 77 clubs around the world, including the likes of Liverpool, Dortmund, Marseille, FC Barcelona and Juventus, all agreeing to use their Twitter accounts to share a video featuring missing adolescents on International Missing Children’s Day.

Since that announcement, a further 56 clubs have joined the project, with Fiorentina and AC Milan, joining Atalanta, Inter, Juventus, Lazio and Roma as representatives from Italy.

The project is also being supported by the European Club Association (ECA), FIFA, Jamaica Football Federation and the Taiwanese Football Club Association.
