Serie A Matchday 37: Who plays who, when and where?

We take a look at the latest round of fixtures in Italy, as things reach a crucial point at both ends of the table...

We take a look at the penultimate round of fixtures in Italy this season, with a few key details still to be resolved at both ends of the table...

Roma take on Torino in Turin on Wednesday night, knowing a victory against Moreno Longo's charges will guarantee a fifth place finish.

Here’s a full run down of all 10 Serie A games taking place over the course of the next two days…

TUESDAY 28 JULY

Parma v Atalanta
Ennio Tardini, 19:30 CEST

Parma made it back-to-back 2-1 wins by seeing off relegated Brescia last time out to climb to ninth, but memory of the 5-0 defeat in the reverse fixture - Parma’s biggest loss of the season - will still be a painful one.

Atalanta have lost just once in 18 games since hitting five past their midweek hosts and their current 16-match unbeaten run in Serie A (W12, D4) is the best in their history.

Inter v Napoli
Giuseppe Meazza, 21:45 CEST

Inter’s faint hopes of a first Serie A title since 2010 were ended by Juventus’s win over Sampdoria on Sunday night, but Antonio Conte’s men did move above Atalanta into second as goals from Romelu Lukaku (two) and Alexis Sanchez fired them to a 3-0 win at Genoa.

The Coppa Italia winners will be without suspended all-time record goalscorer Dries Mertens for the trip to Milan, one that saw Napoli beat Inter 1-0 at the Giuseppe Meazza in the semi final first leg of the cup in February.

WEDNESDAY 29 JULY

Hellas Verona v SPAL
Bentegodi, 19:30 CEST

A resounding 5-1 defeat to Lazio at the weekend means Verona have now gone seven games without victory, but they have the perfect opportunity to address that record against Serie A’s basement side.

SPAL did end a run of six consecutive defeats - the 6-1 mauling by Roma included - courtesy of a 1-1 draw with Torino on Sunday, and are going in search of only a fourth away win of the season.

Lazio v Brescia
Stadio Olimpico, 19:30 CEST

The hosts - who welcome back Manuel Lazzari from suspension - made it two wins on the bounce thanks to Ciro Immobile’s hat-trick in the 5-1 win at Verona, goals that take the Serie A top scorer to 34 for the campaign.

Brescia - now the most relegated club in Serie A history - will be hoping to invoke the spirit of their 2003-04 side, the last team that claimed an away victory over Lazio and one that featured the legendary Roberto Baggio in the final season of his esteemed career.

Sampdoria v Milan
Luigi Ferraris, 19:30 CEST

Having won five out of six prior to defeat at the hands of rivals Genoa, Sampdoria have now lost two in a row and will have to do without midfielder Morten Thorsby - as he saw red after picking up two yellow cards against Juve last time out.

Milan are now 10 games unbeaten (W7, D3), but their draw with Atalanta means they trail Roma by four points with two to play in the race for fifth - while they have lost each of their last two visits to Sampdoria.

Sassuolo v Genoa
Mapei Stadium, 19:30 CEST

A win for Sassuolo will guarantee a second-highest Serie A finish in the club’s history (eighth) and they will be looking to the fixture’s top scorer Domenico Berardi - sent off in the reverse and goalless in two consecutive league defeats for the hosts - to rediscover his goalscoring touch.

Four points clear of the drop zone going into the penultimate weekend of the season, Genoa’s fate is in their hands and a repeat of the 2-1 win over Sassuolo at the beginning of January will guarantee their safety.

Udinese v Lecce
Dacia Arena - Stadio Friuli, 19:30 CEST

The hosts backed up their come-from-behind win over champions Juventus with a 1-0 victory over Cagliari on Sunday night to secure their own Serie A status. They have also won each of the last three meetings between these two sides.

Lecce thought they had performed a stunning comeback of their own against Bologna last time out, having pulled level at 2-2 after being 2-0 down, but Musa Barrow’s 93rd minute equaliser denied them what would have been a valuable point and they remain on the brink of relegation.

Cagliari v Juventus
Sardegna Arena, 21:45 CEST

Cagliari have scored just three goals in their last eight winless outings (D4, L4) in the league and have lost more top flight home games to Juventus (17) than any other team.

The 4-0 win in the reverse fixture means the Bianconeri have won the last seven meetings between the two (home or away), while they are 18 games unbeaten against their hosts and have won each of their last six at Cagliari.

Fiorentina v Bologna
Artemio Franchi, 21:45 CEST

The 2-1 defeat to Roma at the Olimpico ended Fiorentina’s six-match unbeaten run - but they haven’t lost to Bologna in 11 games, a run that dates back to December 2013.

Bologna’s away record against Fiorentina is even worse and it has been over a decade since their last victory over their Tuscan hosts; a 2-1 win on 17 January 2010.

Torino v ROMA
Olimpico Grande Torino, 21:45 CEST

Andrea Belotti’s brace claimed three points for Torino over Roma on Matchday 18 but only the bottom three have been beaten more times than Toro (19) this season, who have also lost their last two at home to the Giallorossi.

The 16 points Roma have collected from their last six games is more than any other side in the league during that period and a third successive victory for Paulo Fonseca’s side would put the seal on fifth with a game to spare.
