The club, represented by chief executive Guido Fienga and head coach Paulo Fonseca, were present at the event – where two personalised shirts were donated to Pope Francis.
One of the shirts was subsequently autographed by the Pontiff, and will be auctioned off in support of the cause.
Roma Cares, the club’s charity initiative, is one of the organisations that has contributed to the Day of the Poor, which for the past week has seen the doors of the health centre in Piazza San Pietro opened to those in most need.
