Club captain Elisa Bartoli, along with goalkeeper Rosalia Pipitone and forward Annamaria Serturini, have all been included in the squad for upcoming warm-up games against Poland and the Republic of Ireland.
With not long left until the summer tournament in France, coach Milena Bertolini has named a 24-woman squad for the games - a firm indication of her likely selection for the World Cup itself.
Unfortunately this time there is no place for winger Agnese Bonfantini, who recently made her international debut during the Cyprus Cup earlier in the month.
She has instead been called up to the Under-23 squad for the La Manga Tournament, where Italy will face Norway, Swedian and the United States.
She is joined in the squad by teammates Martina Piemonte and Flaminia Simonetti.
