Stat Attack: Facts to know before Turin trip

Ahead of Saturday's visit to the Juventus Stadium, here are a few key facts and figures you need to know about the game...

The match in Turin gets underway at 20:30 local time.

    Head-to-head reads black and white

In total, both home and away, Roma and Juventus have faced each other 172 times in the Italian top flight: Roma winning 39 and losing 82. The other 51 ended in draws.

    No-fun Turin

In percentage terms, no side has as good a home record against Roma as Juventus: the Bianconeri have lost just eight of their 86 home games against the Giallorossi, putting their loss ratio at less than 10%.

    Roma's last good memory

The last time Roma won in the league in Turin was back in January 2010 - on that occasion the Giallorossi ran out 2-1 winners, thanks to John Arne Riise's last-minute strike.

    Set-piece danger

Both Juventus and Roma have scored 10 goals from dead-ball situations so far this season - putting them out ahead of any other side.

    Ronaldo effect

Cristiano Ronaldo (11 goals, five assists) has played a part in 49% of Juventus's goals in Serie A this season.

    DDR vs Juve

Daniele De Rossi has scored three goals against Juventus in Serie A in his career - although all of them have come at the Stadio Olimpico. The captain has only scored more goals against one side (Chievo Verona - four) in his career.

    Totti the goal king (again)

Francesco Totti is the only Roma player to have reached double figures for total goals against Juventus. The legend scored 10 against his old rival during his career, putting him ahead in the club standings. Fulvio Bernardini, Dino Da Costa and Giuseppe Giannini all managed six goals against Juventus during their time with the Giallorossi.

    December records

Roma and Juventus have played each other 24 times in the month of December during our history, including both league and cup. Of those Roma won five of the encounters (four of them at home).

That one away win came back in 1995 - as an own goal and a strike from Abel Balbo secured the three points.

    Allegri vs Roma

Juve boss Max Allegri has faced Roma 18 times during his coaching career - while at Cagliari, Milan and now at Juve. To date he has enjoyed somewhat mixed fortunes: six wins, seven draws, and five defeats.

December 22 a date to remember

Roma have played 12 times on December 22 during their history - the first of them coming back in 1929 (a 1-0 defeat for Livorno).

The most recent, in contrast, came back in 2016 - a 3-1 win for the Giallorossi against Chievo Verona at the Stadio Olimpico.

The only meeting against Juventus on December 22 came in 2000 - Roma drawing 0-0 on the way to winning the Scudetto that season.
