Next season will be Francesco Totti's 25th at Roma and choosing a single defining image from his quarter-century career is an almost impossible task.
We asked Roma's official club photographer Luciano Rossi to instead select 10 of his favourite Totti photographs - some taken by himself, others from the archives but all of them iconic.
This black-and-white photo was taken 22 years ago. He's shooting left-footed with every ounce of power he can muster. The ball hasn't gone in yet but he's about to score the first of the 304 gems he's delighted the Giallorossi fans with so far.
This is the start of the party, the first moment of joy in what will turn out to be an unforgettable day: 17 June 2001. Our third Scudetto. Totti has just scored and you can see Batistuta smiling and Candela celebrating in the background. The whole of the Olimpico is in raptures. It's a defining image of that triumph.
This is a match played behind closed doors at a neutral ground in Rieti, when Roma incredibly came from behind to beat Cagliari 4-3. Totti has just scored his second penalty and he's about to run over to a gate to celebrate with the fans who were outside the stadium. De Rossi and Montella balance the picture out really well, encapsulating the moment perfectly.
Here we're in September 2006, Totti's first goal with the foot he injured in February that year. The photo shows Francesco running after scoring against Shakhtar Donetsk with De Rossi behind him. It's one of my favourites.
This is Spalletti's first trophy with Roma. After victory in the final against Inter, Totti ran over towards the Giallorossi fans at the San Siro to show them the cup. He held it up right in front of me.
During Luis Enrique's season at the club, the team would gather around Totti to get psyched up before kick-off. Here you can see the captain in the middle surrounded by all his team-mates. I have really fond memories of those moments.
This was during a very particular year for Roma but an absolute belter from Totti sent the stadium and all his team-mates wild. It's possibly one of the best photos I've ever taken.
Now we're in 2014-15 and Totti has just scored against Juve in Turin. He runs over towards the Giallorossi fans and you can still see the energy in his eyes from the penalty he's just fired past Buffon. Luckily I was there to immortalise the moment.
This is the Totti selfie that went global. Everyone went to shoot him from the front, myself included. But my son had the brilliant idea of going behind the captain. It meant he ended up in the selfie himself but this is what he captured with his own camera.
Totti's stunning two-goal cameo appearance against Torino last April stirred up plenty of emotions. I think this photo – with all his team-mates around him – epitomises that evening. All of the fans are in that embrace too.
