The agreement with Torino for the defender is for an initial €1 million loan, with an obligation to make the transfer permanent – depending on the completion of certain performance targets – for a fee of €12.5m.
The transfer deal includes clauses for an additional bonus payment, up to a maximum of €1.5m, if the club and the player reach certain sporting objectives.
The 26-year-old Brazilian began his professional career at Audax in his homeland, later going on to represent Santos for two seasons. He joined Torino in 2014, going to make 65 appearances in Serie A - scoring six goals.
