AS Roma can confirm that the club has reached an agreement with Sporting Clube de Portugal for the loan of forward Seydou Doumbia for the 2017-18 campaign.
The deal includes an option for the Portuguese side to make the transfer permanent, subject to certain sporting landmarks being reached.
The striker arrived at Roma during the winter transfer window in the 2014-15 season, going on to score two goals in 14 games during the remainder of that campaign.
He spent last season on loan at FC Basel, helping the the team claim the Swiss league title.
He had prior loan spells at CSKA Moscow and Newcastle United.
