Zanetti, who played for Inter for almost 20 years after joining the club as a youngster and now serves on the club's board, stressed in an interview with Corriere dello Sport that all players have their own style - but, when asked for his 'heir', singled out the versatile Roma player.
"If I had to say one name I'd have to say Florenzi," Zanetti said. "Each player has his own characteristics and own personality, but I like Florenzi because of his professional approach, how he plays the game and the passion he puts into everything he does.
"I have had the fortune to get to know him personally and I admire his intelligence and determination. Florenzi can become very important, not just for Roma but for Italian football."
