The football cares project

On May 25, the football world is uniting to support International Missing Children’s Day.

Over 200 clubs from six continents will be joined by international associations, national leagues, governing bodies and the wider global football community to take part in the ‘Football Cares’ initiative that aims to help reunite missing children with their loved ones.

Whether you are one of the biggest clubs in the world, a non-league team, a player, coach, journalist, fan or football organisation, you are invited to support the campaign that AS Roma is organising with the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children.

How do I get involved?

This is a simple Twitter campaign. To take part in the project on May 25, simply copy and paste the most relevant Twitter video URL from the list below into a tweet, add you caption - draft examples below - and make sure to include the relevant hashtags.What if no missing child from my country appears in one of the videos below?

We would advise you to share one of the global or regional videos, as you will have followers all over the world, or the video that you think will be most relevant to your audience.


When can I tweet?

You can tweet at the time that suits you best on May 25, International Missing Children's Day.


Do I have to tweet in English?

You can tweet in the language that suits you - just please include the English hashtags. Under each video, we have provided an example of a caption you are welcome to use - but you can also choose the words that suit you.


Can I only share one video?

You can share as many videos as you like. If you have local language or regional accounts, you may want to share more videos.

Who is behind the project?

The project is being run by the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children globally, the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children in North America and Missing People in the UK.

AS Roma, as partners of all three organisations, is helping coordinate the football element and making all the content. There is no Roma branding on any photos or videos.

The Football Cares project is also being fully supported by FIFA, the European Club Association (ECA), MLS and many international and national football associations and governing bodies.
