Spinazzola sends message after surgery

Spinazzola underwent the procedure to repair the Achilles tendon in his left leg - a surgery that was completed successfully.

Posting on Instagram afterwards, the Italy international thanked fans for their support over the last few days.

"Surgery went well," Spinazzola wrote.

"Thank you to everyone for showing me such support, there have really been so many of you!

"The countdown starts now ... we'll see each other again soon!"
