Roma schedule confirmed up until Christmas break

Another hectic run of games awaits the Giallorossi when they return to action after the international break, with seven matches to contend in 29 days before departing for the Christmas holidays

Rudi Garcia's men have just come through a busy schedule of seven matches in 22 days, stretching from the 3-1 win over Empoli on October 17 to last weekend's 2-0 derby defeat of Lazio on November 8.

During that time they racked up an impressive haul of five wins, one draw and one defeat, which has seen them climb the standings both in Italy and Europe.

Roma currently sit in second place in Serie A with 26 points, one fewer than joint leaders Inter and Fiorentina. They are also second in Champions League Group E on five points, one place behind reigning European champions Barcelona.

The Giallorossi will kick off their Christmas run-in at the Stadio Dall’Ara against Bologna on Saturday November 21 (18:00 CET), ahead of a mouth-watering clash against Luis Enrique’s Barcelona side the following Tuesday, part of matchday five in Champions League Group E.

It's back to Serie A action on Sunday November 29 at 15:00 CET, with Atalanta the visitors to the Stadio Olimpico, before a trip to Torino on Saturday December 5 and the last installment of the Champions League group stages at home against BATE Borisov on Tuesday December 9.

There follows what promises to be an exciting clash at the Stadio San Paolo in Naples on Sunday December 13 as Roma take on Napoli in Serie A (18:00 CET).

Finally, the Giallorossi’s last outing before the Christmas break and the turn of the year will see them return to the Stadio Olimpico to play Genoa on December 20.

There could be one further match to play before the festivities get underway as Roma's Coppa Italia last-16 encounter against Spezia or Salernitana is due to be played either on December 16 or in January depending on the TV schedule.
