Defrel joins Sampdoria on loan

AS Roma can confirm that forward Gregoire Defrel has joined Sampdoria on loan.

The Frenchman joins the Blucerchiati on a year-long loan deal that runs until 30 June 2019.

As part of the agreement, Sampdoria have the option to make the signing permanent.

Defrel, 27, joined the Giallorossi from Sassuolo last summer.

He went on to make 20 appearances for the club during the 2017-18 campaign, scoring one goal.
