Thursday's first leg gets underway at Parc OL at 21:05, and Nainggolan is expecting a determined response from the Giallorossi players after two defeats in a row.
See what Nainggolan had to say in the transcript below.
Is there too much defeatism and criticism around Roma?
“That’s a tough question to answer. I’m a football player and in my eyes when things go badly a bit of criticism is to be expected, but we’ve only lost two matches – it’s not like we’ve thrown everything away.
"We can turn the Coppa Italia result around and in Serie A our position hasn’t really changed. We’re still second. We’re still in the hunt on every front. The defeats hurt but now it’s up to us to show that we can do better than we have done in our last two games.”
You have a very busy period coming up. Are you ready to play every match?
“That’s what we’re made for as players. We work hard every day to be ready for every game that comes around. If you play for a club that’s competing in several competitions, you need to be prepared for every match. I’ve always been like that – I want to play every game and I’m sure all my team-mates do as well.
"Of course, you risk performing less well in certain matches but I think that’s to be expected, plus the opponent’s performance has a bearing too. I’m ready to play every game – you take stock of how you’ve played after the event. You never know how a match is going to turn out until you play it.”
Would you like to confirm that you’ll be staying at Roma next year?
“We’re only halfway through the season – are we really talking about the transfer market? I will keep trying to perform well, as I’ve always done, and then we’ll see.
"I’m happy here, I feel good, I like playing for this team.”
