Read what the Italian had to say ahead of Wednesday's game...

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte faced the media on Tuesday ahead of the Champions League meeting with Roma.

The game at Stamford Bridge gets underway at 20:45 CEST (19:45 local time), with both sides looking to continue their unbeaten start to the group.

Here's the key points Conte made at Chelsea's Cobham training ground...

Will Alvaro Morata be involved tomorrow?

“Morata has trained with us and he'll be in the squad for tomorrow's game.”

Daniele De Rossi is always praising you very highly. What do you think of him?

“I rate Daniele very highly indeed. I've been lucky enough to train him, [Alessandro] Florenzi and [Stephan] El Shaarawy and I get goose bumps when I think back to my time with Italy. Daniele is a phenomenal footballer who made the decision to spend his entire career at Roma just like [Francesco] Totti – a decision taken by great players and great men. It will be really nice to see Daniele, Alessandro and Stephan again. In my eyes they'll only be opponents for 90 minutes. I'll always be grateful to them for what they gave me during my two years in charge of Italy and during the incredibly exciting time we had at the Euros.”

Is it a good thing you have another game to play straight after losing to Crystal Palace?

“It's definitely a good thing that we're playing again. It's very important for us to be playing tomorrow. The Champions League is tough and you have to be on your guard. Roma are a great team who are doing well in Italy and have four points in our group so far. They're a well-drilled side with top players.”

Is it better to be playing a team you know well?

“I know Roma are a great team and I know it's going to be very difficult tomorrow. I know Italian football and I know Italian teams are well organised. Roma have a great coach and they're doing a very good job both with the present and the future in mind.”

What do you like about Radja Nainggolan and how much would you have liked to bring him to Chelsea?

“I don't think it's right to talk about opposition players. We tried to sign him but he's a Roma player. I respect him, I respect Roma and I respect my own players so it's not right to talk about him.”

Were you ever close to taking over in the Roma dugout?

“Roma are a fantastic team and being linked to the Roma job gives me reason to feel very proud. After Rudi Garcia, Roma went for two top coaches in Luciano Spalletti and Eusebio Di Francesco.”

If you could take any player out of Di Francesco's side, who would it be?

“It's the team you need to be worried about with Roma. They do have some quality individuals though, and I know how much heart De Rossi, Florenzi and El Shaarawy play with – they've got huge hearts. Maybe I'd take a little bit of that away.”
