AS Roma is delighted to confirm the signing of Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
The 23-year-old joins from Sport Club Internacional on a permanent transfer for a fee of €8 million. All third-party ownership rights have also been resolved.
Alisson put pen to paper on a five-year contract with the club, which expires on 30 June 2021, after arriving in Rome on Wednesday.
Alisson came through the youth system at Internacional, joining the first-team squad in 2013.
In the following years with the Biancorossi he made 83 appearances in all competitions, winning the state championship with the club four times in a row between 2013 and 2016.
After being part of the Brazil U-20 side that won the Toulon Tournament in 2013, Alisson made his senior debut for the national team in October last year.
He has gone on to make nine appearances in total for the Selecao - including five games in the ongoing 2018 World Cup qualifiers and three in the recent Copa America Centenario in the United States.
